We discovered the little village of Conques, on the way of St James. As it is a place of renowned beauty, I was dreading a crowded place and the usual damages of souvenir shops. But no, it is a quite and peaceful, place, maybe too remote to be spoiled. A few wanderers, a few talented craftmen and artists, an excellent bookstore. A rare place.
A very beautiful place...so glad you found it!

What a dreamy place...It looks like it came out of a fairytale!

I never travel any longer, just a bit around the area. I feel like I have travelled enough in my life. Seeing and reading about Conques, makes me unsure. Its unique beauty and obvious peace makes me want to walk the roads and light a candle.
RépondreSupprimerIn that last photo, the buildings looks like they are tiny, tiny playhouses. Magnificent!

Amélie, je suis là , dans l'ombre...je t'écris bientôt ;o)
RépondreSupprimeri remember this beautiful place, wrapped in its own silence - and, like Lilli says, we lit a candle.
