Chaumont art festival. Glass angels and vitrified books

Altogether, the 2021 edition of Chaumont garden festival is a pretty good one. It is topped by an exceptionnal indoor exhibition, with the fascinating series of Jean Dubuffet’s prints, variations of stone, water, sand, leaves, and earth textures (les phénomènes,  no photo here). And the extraordinary glass work of Pascal Convert on memory: the phantom of a library retaining the ashes of vitrified books now transmitting light, and the grave and peaceful  three-angels bas-relief, sculpted from photographs of children locked up in asylum, where shadows turn to light and light to shadow.
